Did anyone else hear about the Brookside Principal going psycho at last Friday's pep rally, wielding a hammer and hitting the podium he was standing at like 20 times, ultimately destroying it? Is this the best we could do as a leader? God help our children! :o

Yes, it appears this is the best we can do and will continue to do for the next 3 years. It is sad but true. The citizens of Waukegan and politicians of Waukegan need to look at Chicago and learn from them.

I thought the principal only had a one-year contract...If this person did go "off" at a rally as you say, I would think that type of behavior would be a reason to release him from the contract. Even though it was a bumpy ride with a revolving door of principals when my kids were at WHS I am very glad they are out of there and not dealing with this type of "adult" behavior!

That's correct the principal received a 3 year extension to his contract. I guess Lincoln Center and he believe he is the best. If you question his belief in himself just ask him and he will tell you that he is smarter than everyone.
