Desperate times for Mayor Hyde
#21
Don Petrone Wrote:Sabonjian quoted Hyde from a conversation they had in the Democratic (now Hyde's) HQ after the November Election Where Hyde stated 'there are no more good people left in Waukegan. All the good whites, all the good blacks and all the good mexicans have moved'.
After that, Libby allwoed the discussion to continue for several minutes, but Hyde never refuted or denied that he made the statement.

Yesterday, Libby stated that she thought it was inappropriate and that Sabonjian 'crossed the line' by telling people what
Hyde had said.
She didn't ask Hyde if it was true or not but did allow him plenty of opportunity to deny it, but he never did.

My thought is that just because something may be conrtroversial, doesn't mean it's not true and knowing Hyde as I do, it doesn't surprise me at all that he said something like that.
I've heard him say much, much worse about blacks, mexicans, puerto ricans and women.

Yea and as he gets older and deafer he doesnt realize how loud he says those things and who hears his ramblings.
Don't let the door hit you in the ASS Hyde! And Take your flunkies with you!

Does Sabonjian stand a chance as the next Mayor of Waukegan?

Thanks goodintentions! Well, I guess he DID stand a chance!! LOL I've listened to what Sabonjian says, and think he has good ideas etc., but I'm a little leery on his stance regarding 287G and such. I say give him a chance and hopefully he will do what he says and pull this town together and get it going in the right direction. What other options do we have?

Pengy,
Mayor Hyde withdrew from the 287g program. The city is no longer an applicant. This was said by Hyde himself recently.

Don't confuse her with the facts. If she can't talk about 287g illegals she's got nothing to say.

Wow JazminH, what have I done to you? Sorry, I don't post here often, as I've got other things to do, but I don't just post about 287g. Thanks for watching though, freaky as it is! :o Tongue

Hi Danno!
I was under the impression that it was sent in, but at the Federal level they were back-logged and it would be a while to implement. Thanks for clarifying that for me! Wink

Maybe that withdrawl is what cost Hyde the election! :-)

Hyde was deceptive about it for a while by simply stating that "287g is dead". Then he spilled the beans when backed into a corner on it during the WKRS debate. Here's a recording of it.
