I was quoting the flier left on my car Simon. It says "Pubic" though I am sure the candidates wanted to say "public."

My spelling is good and my proof reading is even better.

Well, they have declared themselves "independent thinkers!" This may be what they are talking about.

I suppose it could make for lively Park Board meetings.

Oh my! Bet their faces are red! That's funny, I don't care what anyone says. I find it ironic their signs says "Independant Thinkers" but they seem to
be running as a team. Doesn't that kind of fly in the face of independant thinking?

Before I get attacked- I'm not against them, just found their signs rather ironic....

Unfortunatley there were about 50 of the flyers put out before the error was caught. Embarrassed  about it, yes I was but hey I'm human and mistakes happen. I am not a politician, and believe me running for any office is a very difficult venture, and people can be cruel. I take full responsibility for the mistake and just hope that everyone can remember what I am running for...to be a voice for the taxpayers and insure that your money is spent the way you want it spent. Northside Karen, to answer your question if 2 new members are not elected, then many issues will not change. One of the major changes I would like to see is that the monthly meetings be changed. Currently monthly meetings are being held at 3:45 in the afternoon, as far as I am concerned this is selfish and surely does not allow normal everyday people to attend and voice their opinions. I am an Independent Thinker, and will not be anybody's puppet. I was born and raised in Waukegan, and the Park District has been an important part of my life growing up. Many corners have been cut, and programs for the kids have are taking the brunt of this. I want to make a difference, and listen to what you want....this is why I am running.

I have known Sue Rose Sassone for many years. She has coached sports for kids that otherwise would not have had much direction in life, and has done so unselfishly. She would be a welcome change for the good of the Waukegan Park District Board, and do everything possible to not waste the tax payer's money and and provide programs THAT EVERY CITIZEN IN WAUKEGAN CAN ENJOY.. NO MATTER THEIR INCOMES!!!!!!!!

Sue, I am glad you were able to catch the error.

Running for office takes determination and commitment. I respect the effort it takes to run for office. Good luck to you.
