Blackdiamond Wrote:Danno, I would gladly expose who I am to you for some collard greens. I can't eat any this week because I'm on Coumadin and green leafy stuff is a "no-no". It shows up in my blood test (I get all of the time). I eat some when I can, during the week I don't have to get tested. I have a port-a-cath in my chest wall that was put in when I was on chemo and that's why I have the Port. Getting some smoked hocks wouldn't be a problem. Now I'm all "juiced up" thinking about it all. Yes, greens and cabbage don't smell good, but they're good eating.I just cooked some up tonite. A lady friend recently shared her greens cookin knowledge with me. I used a smoked turkey wing and a pinch of baking soda with some other seasoning and a little cayenne pepper. It was soooooo good! I think the fact that some frost has hit them makes them better. Just send me a private message (click on my name) and I'll be happy to bring some over.
