Yes, I used to work for that company. I got laid off due to the current crisis and the fact BP is cutting personell at certain area's.
The Dutch company Smit-Tak, has ships and certain suction arms to suck oil from the water, seperate it and return the water, containing the oil.
Sinds I am not an expert in oil recovery and containing engineering, I cannot say it will work, but it has worked with certain oil spills in France and we had in the North Sea with the destruction of the Piper-Alpha platform.
The company can also cap of the well by inserting a new pipe by using a special ROV that they can steer and assist from above. Effectively draining the well dry.
