Technology in the U.S. exists that would have addressed the spill if action had been taken promptly. Isolate and burn was not allowed because of possibly toxic air. Dispersants were not allowed because they might be toxic. Gov. Jindal waited weeks for approval of berms to protect his state's coastline. At the risk of sounding like a conspiracy theory nut, does anyone else suspect the spill was allowed to spread in order to push cap and tax or other "green" policies?
