Hey ClassicalLib...
I don't recall posting anything here about "leftists" and anyone disliking the principle of "freedom and individual liberty." And who has stated anything here
about New Hamshire's offical motto?
Topic is about supporters of health care reform facing very real threats of numerous instances of violence, and toning town the inflammatory rhetoric.
As to the phrase "Live free or die" was adopted by New Hampshire in 1945 based upon a quote from American Revolutionary War General John Stark on July 31, 1809 from his fighting with the Green Mountain Boys at the Batttle of Bennington on August 16, 1777 in Walloomsac, New York against the British. So the phrase "live free or die" is born from the American Revoluationary War against the British, which last I heard, the American bluecoats won. So how does this phrase apply now?? Another fight against the British? Or against some other entity? If against another entity, what entity?
