I laugh to myself every time I see or hear that someone is somehow shocked or surprised that a human has committed murder, rape or some other form of violence against another human when we live in a society which glorifies violence to such a degree that it is literally insane. Current human society is seriously screwed up. We've been doing the same thing for at least 2000 years and it ain't going to change until we decide to change. Mahatma Gandhi said it: "We must become the change we want to see".
Seriously guns are protected the supreme court just reaffirmed it. The question is do we need handguns to hunt? or bazooka carrying militias? I was in a seedy area in Glasgow once and was told to watch out for knife attacks! I laughed growing up around Chicago with gangs and guns. So even if we banned guns murderers still will kill, although I wonder the mortality rate of guns vs knifes.

Dennis, correlation does not prove causation. It could equally be poverty, birthrate or violent culture.
Still in the interest of debate, can anyone answer my questions on the Second Amendment. The fact that the Supreme Court recently reaffirmed it is debatable too.
