Obama is far from perfect but at least he was able to write his own book. he knows how to use a PC. He did not drop any bombs on a country that never attacked the U.S.

So what if McCain doesn't use a PC. A guy in his position should not be using a pc. Look what happened with Palin's personal email. What would McCain knowing how to use a PC do for us? Would it be helpful if he knew how to create a website? Would it be helpful if he knew how to play FreeCell or Solitare on the PC? Would it be helpful to us if he forwarded us little jokes or cute stories? I think these damn things sap some of the usefulness out of people. How many hours are wasted on it?
Nope, knowing or not knowing how to use a pc isn't a qualification for president to me. Showing integrity and guts shows me a lot. Being a state senator for 8 years and a minion of the corrupt democratic machine in Chicago and Illinois doesn't impress me either and then basically only running for president while he was in the U.S. Senate doesn't do for much me either. Since the beginning of his senate term all he has done was run for president. Pretty shallow to me.

I saw a Video and the Father of Calin's daugher's baby was talking about their relationship, etc. The family doesn't want him to be known, and is not planning on having him involved with the baby. After the baby is born, and if a picture comes out, it won't take a Rocket Scientist to see why they don't want the Father revealed. I admire Calin for stepping up to the plate, and throwing her hat in the ring.

Okay, Queen- not sure what you're talking about here- Palin's daughter and the young man intend to marry. He was at the convention, invited by the Palin's, and seated with the Palins....
Gurnee Cynic- You're right- Obama hasn't bombed any countries, yet. Wasn't he going to bomb Pakistan? Bill Clinton bombed the hell out of Bosnia- they never attacked us- hell, they didn't even train any terrorists to attack us. And, yes- Obama wrote a book- which was dedicated to his mentor- the Reverend Wright- the man who damns America.

Integrity and guts? You decide.........

Barak is a very close second. Will either EVER talk about realistic plans concerning the closing of the borders?

It's not discussed because like social security it's another 3rd rail of politics. If Obama pushes his view that he thinks amnesty is the answer he will put off millions upon millions of people. McCan's views are not better but if he says he is in favor of a wall that will put millions upon millions off.
They are all content to talk about lipstick on pigs or blaming each other for the economic mess and avoid talking about the real issues they both think they can win that way and they are right. As most of the masses out there are pretty stupid I can see why they are content to stay away from the real issues because most of the Americans out there aren't demanding it. Also, as far as the dems blaming the GOP for the economic problems we have that is just wrong. It was the dems that stopped the freddy_mac and fannie_mea reform bill years ago. It's was always the dem and the community organizers that kept the heat on the lenders to give loans to unqualified borrowers, after all, they deserve homes too, just because they were less fortunate doesn't mean they can't have a house. Well, now we have the housing mess we have and that has caused the economic mess we are in now. I think the dems are the major reason we are in this mess. They don't deserve all of the credit for it but they are still much to blame.

Karen--that's not the Father of the child. The Father is of another Race. What's the reason that McCain won't debate?

WTHS; Are you referring to the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005? If so, I don't think that bill ever made it to the Senate floor. I know the bill was primarily backed by Senator Hagel, and went to the Senate commitee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs in 2005. This commitee was GOP controlled. The GOP had a two person majority over the Dems, so I cannot see how the minority members could have stopped it's progression out of commitee. Also, if you read the bill, it actually deregulated Fannie more than provide effective oversight, which raises an interesting question. Would more deregulation have prevented this mess, or made it worse than it is? I am confident that there is more to the history of this bill, but I don't have to time to dig it up, and I refuse to get my information from news agencies with political agendas; MSNBC, Fox News, NPR, etc. I prefer to formulate my own opinions based on my research.
Now, if you were referring to a Bill other than the one I was speaking of, my comment is completely irrelavent!

Queen- Where on earth did you hear that? Bristol Palin's baby (to the best of my knowledge) is Levi Johnston- her boyfried of nearly two years.... If he isn't, she has a lot of 'splainin to do!
As far as the debate- McCain said he wanted to put it off until the financial crisis is resolved, but I believe it'll still happen Friday. I won't be able to see it- my sister is having a Pampered Chef party, and I have to go to that... |
