THE OBAMA NATION PRIMER
The little red hen called all of her Democrat neighbors together and said, 'If we plant this wheat, we shall have bread to eat. Who will help me plant it?'
'Not I,' said the cow.
'Not I,' said the duck.
'Not I,' said the pig.
'Not I,' said the goose.
'Then I will do it by myself,' said the little red hen, and so she did. The wheat grew very tall and ripened into golden grain.
'Who will help me reap my wheat?' asked the little red hen.
'Not I,' said the duck...
'Out of my classification,' said the pig.
'I'd lose my seniority,' said the cow.
'I'd lose my unemployment compensation,' said the goose.
'Then I will do it by myself,' said the little red hen, and so she did.
At last it came time to bake the bread.
'Who will help me bake the bread?' asked the little red hen.
'That would be overtime for me,' said the cow.
'I'd lose my welfare benefits,' said the duck.
'I'm a dropout and never learned how,' said the pig.
'If I'm to be the only helper, that's discrimination,' said the goose.
'Then I will do it by myself,' said the little red hen.
She baked five loaves and held them up for all of her neighbors to see. They wanted some and, in fact, demanded a share. But the little red hen said, 'No, I shall eat all five loaves.'
'Excess profits!' cried the cow. (Nancy Pelosi)
'Capitalist leech!' screamed the duck. (Barbara Boxer)
'I demand equal rights!' yelled the goose. (Jesse Jackson)
The pig just grunted in disdain. (Ted Kennedy)
And they all painted 'Unfair!' picket signs and marched around and around the little red hen, shouting obscenities.
Then the farmer (Obama) came. He said to the little red hen, 'You must not be so greedy.'
'But I earned the bread,' said the little red hen.
'Exactly,' said Barack the farmer. 'That is what makes our free enterprise system so wonderful. Anyone in the barnyard can earn as much as he wants. But under our modern government regulations, the productive workers must divide the fruits of their labor with those who are lazy and idle.'
And they all lived happily ever after, including the little red hen, who smiled and clucked, 'I am grateful, for now I truly understand.'
But her neighbors became quite disappointed in her. She never again baked bread because she joined the 'party' and got her bread free. And all the Democrats smiled. 'Fairness' had been established.
(Bread became scarce and the price tripled)
Individual initiative had died, but nobody noticed; perhaps no one cared...so long as there was free bread that 'the rich' were paying for.
EPILOGUE
Bill Clinton is getting $12 million for his memoirs.
Hillary got $8 million for hers.
That's $20 million for the memories from two people, who for eight years, repeatedly testified, under oath, that they couldn't remember anything.

IS THIS A GREAT BARNYARD OR WHAT
You nailed it.
Are you trying to say that Democrats don't want to work? Tell that to my father who worked in a warehouse for 30 years. Tell that to my Dem voting grandfather who worked in the coal mines since the age of 9. Before I got a "white collar" position I worked in factories, machine shops during my youth. I am not an Obama lover or Pelosi, Kennedy, Boxer, but that is a bad analogy. Most of the animals/people who are "takers" and not "doers" usually aren't registered voters anyway.
Thanks for that thoughtful and instructive analysis on Obama. I'm sure your Kindergarten teacher is very proud of the development that you've made so far this year. Seriously, is that the best you can do? Why don't just call him a "Pee-Pee head"? It would involve less typing and it would have the same effect. Grow up.

It used to be that the democratic party was for the working man. Sadly though the party has become the party of the non-working man. The dems are all about the redistribution of wealth. Biden came out the other day and said people making over 250K should be patriotic and WANT to pay more taxes. People who make that much are already paying the lions share of the taxes but they should give more and more. The dems are all about class warfare too. Pit the non earners against the earners. They make out anyone who does ok by working hard as being evil and they must be taxed to death. By the way Obama's plan to tax more out of anyone who makes 250K or more really just hurts everyone. Of the countless millions and millions of people across this country who work for small businesses who is it going to hurt if the owner has to pay more taxes? You think he is going to keep that tax hit to himself? Or is it more possible that he will suppress the wages? Or maybe invest less in his business preventing more hiring? No, the dems are all about socialism now. They pander to the lower income people telling them they will take from the evil rich and give it to them by way of free health care (which would lower the quality of health care for everyone) to bailing them out of their bad mortgages. The dems are all about being a mommy and daddy government. Don't worry about bettering yourself, we the government will take care of all of your needs and we will have the evil rich pay for it.
Please, please, lets not mess this up. Be sensible when making your comments. I'll be glad when the election is over with. I've worked over 46yrs in my lifetime. Where did the stats come from? I don't think the Unemployment Offices asks your Party Affiliation.

Who me  I am being nothing but a gentleman. I am not calling any posters names, I am not cursing, I am not threatening anyone. I am just giving my opinions like everyone else. If we can't do that then why bother? Not every thread is going to be about the garden clubs social.

Hey, I said it was a great barnyard.... Oh, and I didn't type it, I simply used cut & paste.
First, I think that America is full of very hard working democrats (and Republicans to a lesser extent Big Grin ). So, please don't insult them by saying that they are all on the dole. Broad generalizations are not productive or truthful. I can point to many republicans who expect to be bailed out when things don't go their way. I think most news stories you read lately will back that claim up.
You state...

Broad generalizations are not productive or truthful.

Then the preceding sentence...

First, I think that America is full of very hard working democrats (and Republicans to a lesser extent Big Grin )

Wow.
