The RAGING Grannies and BP
#11
It sounds as though today (June 4, 2010) that the cap has been placed on the pipe but it is only stopping a fraction of leak.
This is appalling news, and I don't know where this will end.

I also saw a new ad on TV by BP CEO Tony Hayward saying how "all well be well" and they will make it "all right."
They also had a toll-free number to call, which is 1-866/448-5816. Here's Sir Tony:

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://bp.concerts.com/gom/bp_response_tv_60_060310.htm">http://bp.concerts.com/gom/bp_response_tv_60_060310.htm</a><!-- m -->

So I called the BP toll-free phone number up, and it is a comment line. I told the BP rep on the other end of the
phone that with all due respect, I highly resent some British CEO buying ad time on American TV trying to make
all sound well when IT clearly is NOT.

ABC NEWS tonight showed the same BP CEO Tony Hayward skiing at Veil, Colorado, living the good life and lecturing
university business students last yr how previously before he became CEO, BP was trying to "save the world." He said
that was the totally wrong approach, only concern BP has is to "create value for our shareholders."

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3b6J7LRUTFY">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3b6J7LRUTFY</a><!-- m -->

How totally pitiful. So Sir Tony increased "value for our shareholders" by nonstop, DRILL baby DRILL! Hmmm, well now look
at Sir Tony's LOSES...as well losses to our people and irreplaceable losses for our environment.

Our government is crippled to act against BP, to many shared interests. Both are culpable for the "accident" and delay in stopping the leak. Dennis did you work on rigs? Is the lack of safety as bad as they say in the news like 700+ violations while other companies in single digits? Don't buy BP gas they will takes years to settle at a fraction of the true cost and will change their name to fool consumers.

I know its no laughing matter but this twitter helps ease the pain Tongue <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="https://twitter.com/BPGlobalPR">https://twitter.com/BPGlobalPR</a><!-- m -->

Dennis, do you know anything about AMCO, BP, AND CHASE being connected? My Gas Card changed each time. I first paid my bill on line to Ammoco, then it changed to BP, and then I had to pay my bill to CHASE.

AMOCO is owned by BP, it used to be a self-sustaining company. But it was taken over by BP

The CHASE connection with BP eludes me, but it might be that CHASE is a banker or moneyshooter for BP.

This catastrophic oil spill is all about greedy Big Oil, greedy Big Banks and lax government oversight due
to all being a part of the "good ole boy" network.

It is time for a change on all of this, now.

Yeah, you should have said that during the previous Administration. (Ooops--I think what we've said should have been under Politics). :oops:
