HI YALL-I had an appt with my doctor to get educated regarding chemo--while I was there a Nurse heard my shortness of breath, and increase in oxygen use. Well, I was in Libertyville and before I knew it I was in an ambulance being taken to Lake Forest Hosp. I was admitted with pneumonia, along with some other nasty things going on in my lungs. I was admitted on the 14th and just got out today. I will be getting chemo next week. Five babies were admitted with upper respiratory problems the same evening. I could hear their screams--poor babies. The cells in my lymph nodes have increased. T his was all God's doings because I was trying to fight something bigger than what I thought so God intervened. My Doctor said he could believe I was able to make that drive.
Another miracle. I had my diabetic kit with me and when I got to my room, I decided to check my own gluclose reading---the meter read 535--I had a Nurse to come in and she re-checked it with her meter and it read 245--God is good--had I not been in the hospital when I checked my gluclose, I would have over-dosed myself with insulin. See what I mean? It was meant for me to use my meter to see that something was wrong.--Needless to say it turned out that my meter was no good. I was on a steroid, (name forgotten) and now I have to check myself gluclose more frequently. I have to take that steriod for 10 days---I told the Nurse I was doing just fine until they gave me a blood transfusion from ONE OF MY PEERS instead of some young person Big Grin . Oh well, the fight goes on. God is being sooooo good to me--he was good to me before I even got cancer. Love you all and I am grateful for your prayers and concern.
