Is there a system in place to check out questionable students? Many schools have PI's that investigate reports. Every report of an out of district student is investigated. Some turn out to be mistakes by the person reporting but many are actual out of area students. It would cost the district to hire a PI but they could have someone do it on a case by case basis. That way no need for a full time person on the payroll.

I have spoken to two current school board members regarding this issue, and nothing has changed. I think the taxpayers, in this township, need to find their spines and express their frustrations and demand compliance.

THey need to hire a full time person who does this all day. New Trier, Warren, and definitly Evanston have this position in place

Anyone know more about this? is it just at the high school? Maybe they could help with the residency issue. I hope they go hard after the gang issue. I went to WHS Brookside -but right now I can't imagine sending my children... I hope this is a sign of other moves to straighten up our high school. I liked reading the post about the campus college here.
