I come to extend a mea culpa for having a bad attitude about the 73 class reunion. I as the guy who was upset about people crashing the reunion. Someone said it on the town board, maybe cpa or danno, don't remember. He said why would I worry about anybody wanting to crash the wths 1973 class reunion? He was right. We barely had enough of our classmates. Why would anyone want to crash a reunion that had nothing but a bunch of old middle aged people. It was pretty good though. Weather wasn't that great but it was a small hop from the tent to the Greentown tavern. Also a small hop to the bathrooms for all of us +50 people  The DJ was playing hits from the early 70s (oh my god) "don't rock the boat, don't rock the boat baby" sigh

It was good though. I noticed the burnouts still hung with the burnouts, the "garage boys" (motorheads) still hung out together. The "princesses" still hung out together. It was nice though. Good food, some good music. It was nice to see some our old friends.
It wasn't me. I am 1975 but was personally invited by Mr. Eimerman (we grew up a block apart) so I didn't crash it. I too noticed the choice of music was about a half a generation off. Sad to see people our age "dancing" in their chairs. I thought they were supposed to have live music.

I was there also. If your a 75'er that's fine. Especially if you're invited by the host. Even if not though if anyone comes from any of the 70s classes of WTHS that would have been fine too (although I would have been a little jealous of those "kids" from the 79 class) . I think WH guy's issue at least what I saw on the other board was that he thought it would have been a free for all. Maybe it might have been if it wasn't raining. I don't know. Nowadays I could understand something like that happening and having a group of noerdowells start trouble. I see they did have 1 police officer there. He looked like he was in the 8th grade though but don't most of the police officers nowadays. As it was though it was nice.

That's ok - I forgive you... I had to do something else that night, however I am sorry that I missed it - maybe next time.

I drove 645 miles from Alabama to go to the reunion. The weather kinda sucked but the reunion wasn't too bad. It was good to see a lot of old friends not only from high school but grade school, my old neighborhood (Fulton Ave.), and Ammco tool as well. Some of the "beautiful people" from high school still acted that way (except they looked all old and crusty Confusedhock: ). But the majority of the people acted more mature. The lone cop seemed a bit bored watching a bunch of old people get drunk Big Grin .
All in all I would probably go to another reunion if time and money permits.
Thanks to whomever set up this forum, it gives us "out of towners" a way to keep up on happenings in our home town.
