WKRS changes - what happened?

I have not been listening to the radio much this week (gotta love part-time employment!!!!
 ); I went to the WKRS website last night, and it looks like the lineup's been changed around, and Fred and Lenny are nowhere to be found? :o What happened????

The only "locals" left are Libby and Sandee and Clint- neither of whom are actually locals. Lenny chose to leave, and Libby
evidently just dumped everyone else. Just called Talk of the County to bitch, and will follow up with calls to sponsors, etc. We now have just Libby as the "Voice of Lake County". I think not. :evil: Lenny is on in the AM at 1050 AM, WLIP in Kenosha. I'm really hoping they will pick up ACV, but who knows. I hope Libby's ratings drop like a stone.

Well, whatever the reason, I think the new changes suck. Of all the people to keep - they stuck with Sandee and Clint? Yikes.
Sure, Lenny was often full of himself, but that just added to the charm. I usually enjoyed his show. Listening to the ranting and silliness was a great way to unwind during my drive home from another crazy day at work. Guess I'll be listening to WLS or books-on-MP3 in the car now!

I've discovered this stuff that they call MUSIC. It's great in the car! It comes out of a box in the dashboard. I sing along and use a pencil as a pretend microphone and if there is an organ or piano solo I pretend the dashboard is really a keyboard. The people who watch me must really like like it too because they laugh and smile a lot. Cool huh.

I prefer talk radio to music while driving; I prefer documentaries to Hollywood blockbusters; I haven't read a fiction book in years (I prefer science/technical/historical books and journals); I attend scientific conferences for vacation. I'm a bit of a geek. :geek:

Not sorry to see Fred go! Arrogant ignorant tool.
Too bad we couldn't send Libby up north and put Lenny in the morning spot. Clint and Sandy need to go too. Nails on a chalkboard.

Oh, yes, Have1! I miss Fred and Lenny. Can't stomach Libby or Sandee and Clint! I have gotten so desperate I'm crocheting an afgan!! My mother, who also was a Fred-head has discovered the joys of 1-800 shopping! Thank God Fred
is now more active on the ACV website! |
