Obama: Legalize illegals to get them health care

Why can't illegals pay their bills like everyone else? Why the hell am I subsidizing their medical bills food stamps, schoool lunches and ultimately the booming car stereos that disturb my peace? Let Mexico pay for their health care.

The same reason many able bodied US Citizens don't. THEY DON"T HAVE TO! If someone kept giving you free stuff and never asked for anything in return, would you tell them to stop? After awhile, the receivers develop a sense of intitlement and do not appreciate the assistance, they expect it. Kind of like parents who don't dicipline and create boundries for kids. You often end up with spolied, selfish, demanding kids who can't take care of themselves. The US Government does not know how to say no.

If they get any healthcare, it should be enough to stabilize them such that INS/ICE/DHS or whatever can pick them up and deal with them without the person dying or further spreading disease. And if lacking sufficient proof of citizenship for treatment when at a public health facility, such agencies should be informed of such person's presence so they can arrive to deal with them.

(Also I'd make sure there's a billing tab. Health care of foreign nationals on the public dole would be deducted from any U.S. aid that goes to their country before it is sent out. Oh you wanted that much? Sorry but your people that came here took this much out already. You should have really thought about that.)

Anyhow, when and where do U.S. citizens get reciprocal treatment in other countries? Until we are ascertained that we will also be treated "for free" when traveling abroad in Mexico or other Central and South American countries, their nationals should STFU in regards to how we handle our business in dealing with them when they arrive here without permission. (Usually the people that travel here legally aren't a problem because of traveler's insurance which covers health and the such.)

:mrgreen: Now if they want to make Mexican nationals illegally residing in the U.S. legal, the best way would be to get congress and senate to put in motion a resolution for voluntary annexation of Mexico. And then if their government agrees to it, then it's just a process of reformation in law that works with conversion to a U.S. territory or statehood. El Presidente becomes a governor and other formalities like that. They'd get their congress and senate seats. And they'd still get to keep some old laws in place, but then they'd just be state or territorial law instead of national. So what's wrong with being the 51st State in the Union? (Pride? What about Texas?) If annexation happened, all Mexicans would become legal U.S. citizens by default. They'd have more rights in both places. EPA and OSHA, and other protections would have to be effected. FBI and ATF would need to do some serious cleaning up. We'd get a smaller southern border to protect and more national petroleum reserves. Sure there may be oddities like a state having a different defacto language, but then again - look at how Canada deals with Quebec. (Not to mention Puerto Rico is a U.S. Territory, so we're not completely unfamiliar with the idea.)

If declined, remain on peaceful terms about it. But repeat the proposal yearly. Perhaps our southern neighbors would get the point that we think they can't handle their business and straighten up their act. (If a neighbor kept dumping their kids at my house without my permission, at some point I'd call DFCS... So why should it be any different to make a similar point at a national level?)

Could someone explain to me why no congressman has the guts to formalize that, and put up the proposed resolution. (I wouldn't care if it passed, but should be publicized. It should be an easy point to get future campaign fundraising on.)
