What term would you suggest to describe those that utilize the street as a pedestrian walkway? This is a common practice in my neighborhood, and some of these kids can be belligerent about it.

I'd have gone with "pedestrians walking in the street," but I know that the News Sun has difficulty with words that have more than two syllables.

They have to use a sensational headline in order to entice people of a certain caliber to purchase their newspaper or read it online.
