I don't either...but if it is true, I'm curious to hear what the CREW folks have to say

Are you sure non-"CREW" members are allowed to even listen?

That was almost slightly amusing. Actually, I listened to it Jasmin, as a non-member. Did anyone else? Are you a member of CREW by the way, Jasmin?

i listened and thought the guests did a good job. i was a little confused when libby kept asking them "their" ideas and "crews" positions on subjects, (i.e. the casino). i don't think personal opinions are really what matters. the group seems to be trying to get information about what the candidates ideas and positions are. i think it's great that many of the candidates made the time to speak with the members.

libby made a comment that the mayor cancelled on crew because of his recent illness, but when i looked at their website i saw that the mayor was scheduled to speak in early december. didn't he become ill around new years? why did he cancel? why did he not re-schedule?

at the end i didn't think it was fair for libby to let pete couval highjack the conversation and make it about something it was not. why beat up on a group for trying to get information?

i'm gonna' keep my eyes and ears open

CREW is an elitist group that thinks they can influence the upcoming mayoral election, It's really a joke, most of the members are new residents that don't know how things work in Waukegan and are being influenced by the Grand Ego Kolber.

It's not suprising that Hyde cancelled, because he looked at them and saw CREW for what it is. TenPas won't have anything to do with them either.

what part of asking the candidates questions is elitist? how do you know and why would it matter if they are new residents? what makes someone "new", is there a time requirement before someone can be concerned? doesn't this town need new people to move here, buy houses and pay taxes. i don't know everyone who belongs to this group but the ones i've met have lived here for many years, some for many decades. judging people by how long they have lived here is what is really elitist. shouldn't we be focusing on getting answers to the very difficult problems that we all face?

Perhaps you are unaware of the demographics of CREW, whose members range from age 15 to 85. With the exception of myself, virtually every member of CREW has lived in Waukegan for over 5 years. Many have lived in Waukegan their entire life. I am definitely the exception to the rule. There is nothing elitist about being an active participant in the electoral process, quite the contrary. The last time I checked this is America not post-colonial Africa, and this is an open mayoral election, not a one-party, one-man election. I understand how Waukegan works perfectly well. In fact, we were all treated to a first-hand demonstration this morning on Libby's show as to the workings of Waukegan, from Mr. Pete Couval no less.
