Sorry, I'm not sure if this is a 'Local Event' or Breaking News or what!? Anyhow, for those of you that like to check out the new places in Waukegan, I received this e-mail yesterday....

Campari Italian Ristorante is NOW OPEN in Downtown Waukegan at 30 N. Genesee. Call (847) 775-0665 for reservations.

It states that it's open for lunch and dinner, hours Mon-Friday, lunch 11:30-2:00 PM, dinner 5-9 PM. (Friday til 10:00 PM) Saturday Dinner only until 10:00 PM.

Just thought I'd let you guys know! Big Grin

Fedup--you made me laugh--you probably have to eat there and then get on the list. You know KellyAnne is involved in so many things so she gets mailings from all over. (Just kidding with you). Gotta cheer you Republicans up Big Grin I love you dear.

Penguin posted this. I'll just ask her to forward the email to me. We've eaten at Bacci's plenty o' times -so just wondering if this is the new place. Though I heard the chef was opening it?

I'm waiting for Jack's Steak House too. A good steak is priceless....

My wife and I had dinner there a few nights ago. Yes, Gabe who was the chef at Bacci's is the chef at Compari's - and the food is just as good. We were quite pleased at the food and service Big Grin

Its kind of hard for me to look for a place while I'm driving. What is it next tor, or at what Intersection? Do they serve lunch?

Yes they serve lunch.

They're on Genesee Street at Washington St., on the west side (1st building north of the intersection). Easy to find.

The menu is online They have great Panini's for lunch for only $8.95 with a soup or salad. They also have the best London Broil I have ever tasted. Great wine and martinis
