Shame On The Netherlands

It is too bad we had to disband a part of our la that allows everyone to prosecute individuals for being a threat against humanity.
We might have wanted Bush on trial! And Harold, Nice of you to want to make my country look black and horrible, but maybe you should focus your attention to your own country: We are not the ones that: - Are facing a 1,5 trillion dollar deficit - Fighting two pointless wars - Having over 16 million unemployed persons - Where healthcare is something that only rich and working people can afford If you really want to change that, maybe you should have a look at our socialist countries. At least it works for us. It is nice to put out the flaws, but maybe you should also see the benefits we have here for all to enjoy. Glad to be a SOCIAL DEMOCRAT!! Dennis Ista (and yes, I am a member of a politcal party that focusses on a socialistic, democratic union. And we work! And I am not a communist)

Dear Dennis, I think if you polled the average Iraqi he would tell you his future is more secure today than it has been for decades. I predict that the United States and Iraq will share future goodwill and trading opportunities forming a strong mutual bond. Afghanistan was not our choice and being that they have no economy to speak of, the United States will probably have to revisit their largely illiterate society. I think Winston Churchill said it best "You can always count on the Americans to do the right thing, after they've tried everything else." We will go back to our Constitution's original intent before we bankrupt our country, that, you Europeans can count on. God Bless The United States of America. Harold Beadling

Guess someone missed the mark by over a mile....
Never Mind Harold. Keep dreaming.

Dear Dennis, The United States is in trouble today because of government intervention in our economy and banking system. We invest more in our military than the Netherlands entire GDP. That not only protects our country, but your's and the rest of the free world's as well. We, as Americans, are always prepared to send our sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, aunts and uncles to all parts of the world stricken by catastrophic natural disasters with our nuclear-powered hospital ships, aircraft carriers-- equipped with large capacity water desalination capability, C-130 cargo planes filled with our food supplies, and most importantly, our goodwill. Here is a little factoid I looked up for you, my mis-guided friend. http://static.rnw.nl/migratie/www.radion...redirected Now that you are in my country why don't you study our 17 page constitution and then ponder the strength and beauty of that clearly written document. Maybe you will want to take a copy with you to the Netherlands the next time you go home to visit your socialist brethren. Harold Beadling

Government intervention?
Ever heard of the property bubble Harold? Giving people mortgages they could not afford Living on credit, from paycheck to paycheck and still spending money like water. Unreasonable bonusses given to bankowners, while their employers were sacked because of the so called bad economy. The government's only fault is that they did NOT intervene when this was happening... Oh, the article is dated 18 february 2009, that is over a year ago. I think I will end this with a line: "Goodnight Harold Beading, sleep well in that house of yours" ( and we also sended troops to Afghanistan to assist with rebuilding. We have even been praised by Obama for doing our job. Although we did not want to get involved)

Don't forget that the Swedes awarded, Jimmy Carter, Yassir Arafat, Al Gore and Barack Obama with Nobel Prizes. In hindsight, I can't figure why. I am not a bad human being. I just don't want to be an advocate of the centralized form of government that my forefathers gave their lives to break free of, in order to form a constitutional republic. We are not a democracy.Take some time to learn the difference. I would like to get to know you personally, because you present a challenge to my beliefs. If you would like to meet up for a friendly drink, for example, at The Green Town Tavern, give me a call at: 847-623-1474. Look at it this way, we sign our names to our posts on this forum. Only a few do. Music-wise, I am a huge Jeff Beck fan, but then again, you people had the Shocking Blue(Venus ...one hit wonders) and Golden Earring(Radar Love ...one hit wonders.) Whoa, calm down! I'm just yanking your chain here, Dennis. I'm sure that Holland probably produced at least one citizen of note, in your country's entire history. I'm kidding! Take it easy! Let us pound a few beers together( unless you are an alcoholic) at Green Town Tavern and discuss, calmly, political philosophy and maybe we could start a new trend, around here. Harold Beadling P.S. I stand in awe of your country's, world leading, feats of civil and mechanical engineering.

We do have elements of democracy.... for instance the referenda we vote for.

Democratic Republic is a Marxist-Leninist term. Therefore you are wrong, however, that is what people like you and the current crop of Progressives(Marxist-Leninists/Democrats) controlling our Federal Government believe. November 2nd can't come soon enough.
