We are already forced to support that money pit in our tax bills.
How much money does that place cost us each year? I would rather have more police on the street (and NOT on horseback either). Getting rather sick of the bands of thugs roaming the streets.

The "Friends" are a non-profit, 501c3 organization, run solely on private donations. The organization has been supporting quality programming and promotion of the Genesee for the past 29 years. It was a well-run, philanthropic group dedicated to assisting the theatre in hosting quality entertainment.
The "Friends of the Genesee Theatre" was the organization that 100% funded the film equipment to "bring back" movies that the Genesee! Way to go!

While I agree with some of your points, don't hijack this thread for a Genesee rant.
For all it's problems, it's still one of the few good things this city has left.
