Nina & Pinta Ships in Wkgn Harbor 7/29 - 8/03

Columbus replica ships, the Nina and Pinta, will be sailing into the Waukegan Harbor on Wednesday, July 29 and staying until Monday, August 3, 2009.

Visitors have the opportunity to experience walking the decks of ships that replicate the ships that crossed the ocean when Columbus set sail to the new world.

The Nina and Pinta are touring together as a “sailing museum.”

The ships are pretty cool. If they are actual size those men who intentionally sailed them into the unknown were some bad (courageous) dudes.
