I am so glad

I have waited a long time for this because a lot of things I want to say is miscellaneous. Is there anyone out there on Coumadin? I'm on it because I have a port in my chest (my veins are wrecked). I had it put in for chemo back in 2004. My Doctor wants me to have it taken out but I don't want to because I periodically get PET scans, body scans, etc., and I have to have some kind of solutions for these tests--I don't like it when someone is trying to dig around looking for a good vein. I cannot have any asprin products, only Tylenol. Asprin products are a blood thinner. Well, join me in this "chit chat". Smile

I have a relative with a port and a history of pulmonary embolism. She has to take coumadin every day too. My husband was on Coumadin for a year after his heart attack. Neither has suffered serious adverse reactions to the coumadin, but the diet issues can be a pain in the hiney!

Oh, boy--tomorrow I have to go for a P.E.T. scan--if any cancer is present, it lights up. I'll be at the Hosp for approx 4 hrs. NPO after 8am--can't even chew gum and I'm hooked on Nicotine Gum--(the Doctor said that it was better than cigs, but hell, it costs almost $40 a box.). I was hypnotized approx 4yrs ago for smoking and I haven't had a cigarrette since. I had smoked for 46yrs. Two of my friends got hypnotized and it worked for them.

Thank You, and the devil WILL BE A LIAR. I've had 3 lung surgeries and not too much left on the left side. The Devil is not going to win this race.

Well cancer is in my lymph nodes in my left lung--the devil still hasn't won and I thank God because the cancer could have spreaded--I will not be getting chemo or radiation because the Dr. said due to all of my operations I would probably get infections, etc., from the Chemo. He ordered some medication for the cancer and its Tarceva---would you believe that Osco's had to order out for it? I can't get it until Monday. I am very optimistic because I have faith and I believe. Its just all in God's hands---he has the final word regardless of the medicine. Thank you all for your blessings.
