An Alley and the Hyde Administration - A Picture Book

An Alley in a once great part of Waukegan and the lack of substance by the Hyde Administration.

Pete Couvall's son is the Code Officer. A few days ago he was eyeing my garbage can for a violation sticker because I had left it out past the 5pm deadline while this mess was mere feet away. Time to send the Good Old Boys packing.

I will only play devil's advocate here, for this argument only. Dick Hyde is not out driving around enforcing the codes implemented by the city. The point of this whole argument is the supervisor in charge of enforcing codes of Waukegan. I humbly think this should be the focuss of our frustration of this matter, as pathetic as it is. I can't blame Dick for this one.

Dick Hyde is 100% accountable for this mess. He heads this city and this mess is in this city. He appointed the head of code. He tolerates the nepotistic hiring practices which causes this to happen. He is knowledgable of and tolerates a code enforcement policy that has manpower tied up attempting to get revenge on "ememies". He is knowledgable of and tolerates an employment policy that rewards and promotes workers who put up GOB political signs or steal political opponents signs instead of rewarding good job performance.

He is well aware of the litter and graffiti problems. I know this first hand because I have told him about it many times.

And finally, I know one thing for sure. If I were mayor I'd make sure, through any means necessary and within my authority, that this kind of thing would not be tolerable in MY city. If I couldn't accomplish that simple task I'd quit the next day and let someone else try. But no, we have someone who looks like "the cat that swallowed the canary" sittin in his office all day.

I'll answer again but this time with a different theme. Remember Michael Bilandic who was once Mayor of Chicago in the 1970's? The voters held him accountable when he failed to implement adequate snow removal yet he did not drive a snow plow and wasn't personally responsible for plowing the snow. Same situation here. Time for Dick Hyde to go go go.

If anyone tries to remove the SABONJIAN sign from my yard in the 6th ward, (or is perhaps instructed to remove it on behalf of someone else) they may well regret it. I shall make it completely and utterly Larry-proof....Apart from anything else, it would be a shame if the culprit was caught red-handed and their picture ended up on the front of the NEWS-SUN.
