Pet Advice

I purchased a beautiful puppy over the weekend. "Troubles" is a Bischon / Shiz tsu, two and a half months old. He does NOT want to sleep alone. I have him in a pen in my bathroom - right off my bedroom - so I can talk easily to him & tell him to be quiet & go to sleep. Of course that doesn't work - and he whined all night long. I put a big stuffed animal in there - so he'd think it was mommy - and he can hear my clock ticking --- all the things I've thought would make him sleep.
But nnnnooooo... neither of us got sleep last night. Well, my husband did - he went in another bedroom :-)
Any advice?

Hey BlackDiamond, I am happy to report I get to keep them both. The dog finally slept all night without whining. And my husband stayed in his bed too! :-)
