Dennis, I stand corrected--you are real. No one could make up all of that stuff, especially the picture of that ugly man. I remember as a child that I had a pair of wooden shoes---why or how? I don't remember. I'm quite sure you people dress different than the ones I saw in your pictures. I'd love to see pictures of your City, etc. That was beautiful what you said, and damn glad you transposed it. You have a job--keep it and stay where you are. We have enough eateries and I don't think you'd find many Dutch folks around here. Do you eat bacon and eggs? Porkchops? What is the most popular food item. :?: What kind of cars do you drive. :?: (I'm going a little crazy here). I've never been more interested in any Country other than yours, and I don't know why. You've got me "juiced up" . I bet there are no minoriies there, right :?:

hey there.
Wow, easy there. I will try to answer all your questions to the best of my abilities:
- I sometimes eat bacon and eggs, although not too much. Lambchops are somethin I never eat, I mostly eat porc or chicken. The most popular food item is dificult to tie down, but most people are content to eat some form of meat, potatoes and vegetables, all home cooked.
- I drive a Mercedes-Benz. Other brands include: BMW, Dacia, Chevrolet, KIA, Ford, Dodge, Subaru, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Honda, Fiat, Citroen, Renault or Daewoo
Minoriteis. We have them, we have certain ethnic minorities including:
- Muslims
- Former Yugoslavians
- Chinese
There is alot to see:
here is a vidoe made by my local government about my city:

Dennis, are you still reeling from the EngelsâNederlandse Oorlogen???
Really, though...I watched the video. Tell me more about the high speed rail system. I think a high speed rail stop could be one of the things that kicks our lakefront up a notch.

Not really Frank, those ended a long time ago and the relationship between the UK and The Netherlands is strong and healthy.
The High Speed Rail System was designed to go from Amsterdam to Paris faster then going by plane or car.
At this moment, you take a train from Amsterdam and Exit at Paris- Gare du Nord 3 hours later. The train flies over the tracks with a speed of about 200 MPH
There are 6 stops in total, the train is very luxurious and very quiet too, similar to the French TGV. (Train au Grande Vitesse)
There are plans to add Breda as a stop for the route. Would be great
Here is a video taken from the HSL train that departs from Rotterdam, to the tracks and then further.

Have you seen a resurgence in the communities that have high speed rail stops? I have heard several plans but most seem to think that a Chicago-Milwaukee-
Madison rail line would be the way to go. Were the Dutch stops built in communities that were already thriving or were they towns in need of economic stimulus?

It does add revenue in the term of tourism and the chance to see more of the country then just driving your car to the airport over a Highway and flying over there. You can get out of the train, step into the city centre or take a shuttle train to the city centre.
The towns where the train stops were already large and going strong, but now with this project (which is finished) it adds more revenue due to the above mentioned reasons.
And the opportunity for jobs are also present, laying the tracks, maintaining them and also staffing and manning the trains.
It could be a great project!

Its perfect. Any Chicago-Milwaukee line would come along the North Shore, and with Western sprawl it would be nearly impossible to find the space to build a line out there. Waukegan has the infrastructure from space cleared along the lake front for several different rail lines. Any railstop's proximity to the lake front and a downtown entertainment district would make it an enormous opportunity for Waukegan.
If only those WASHINGTON FAT CATS would get their act together...I don't care how much of our future we have to mortgage away to China, lets do this.

Dear Dennis, Why don't you level with your fellow dreamers/social engineers, who obviously spend the bulk of their waking hours either reading comic books or socialist propaganda, as to the actual construction costs and massive yearly subsidies required to operate such an out-dated and inefficient mode of transportation? Or, they could educate themselves here. http://www.texaspolicy.com/pdf/2009-08-R...otoole.pdf. That's if you can dedicate 30 minutes of your valuable time to read something EDUCATIONAL. We accept in the fullest sense of the word the settled and persistent will of the people. All this idea of a group of supermen and super-planners, such as we see before us, âplaying the angel,â as the French call it, and making the masses of the people do what they think is good for them, without any check or correction, is a violation of democracy. Many forms of Government have been tried, and will be tried in this world of sin and woe. No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is the worst form of Government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time; but there is the broad feeling in our country that the people should rule, continuously rule, and that public opinion, expressed by all constitutional means, should shape, guide, and control the actions of Ministers who are their servants and not their masters. ok GUYS--don't be wearing MY NEW FRIEND out. That was a beautiful video and I saw some Projects (low income housing) so I know you have a "South Side" Your City looks like something like out of a dream. Im just a plain person so my comments/questions do not take as much thought as my friends. Your Mayor was wearing an impressive "necklace". Is it valuable? Is your weather similar to ours? (OK, I'm wearing you out now). What's the crime rate? Respond whenever you can, I'll be waiting.
