I was able to be at last night's meeting. What a dog and pony show. I have to commend Major Carter Bell, who during public comment time raised the question about where were all those families during the public meetings about the small schools learning communities? Good point, Major Bell. There were other people that spoke with conviction for both sides of the issue, and the school board and administration have to be given credit for their scrutiny of the charter school proposal, the questions they asked and ultimately how this will effect successful programs already in place in District 60.

Thanks for posting the links to the videos, Kellyanne. I'm sure they will be very valuable to people who were unable to attend last night, but who still want to know what's going on with our tax dollars.
