Hey Class...
I never thought that the Illinois Teacher's Union acts in the best interest of the majority of Illinois teachers and Illinois students. I have known some of their top notch leadership, and they love their titles, power positions and the money they get being Union bosses.
When it comes to the average teacher and average student, these Big Union School Bosses more often than not don't seem to have a clue.
I have worked in the retail business. I remember when the Union came in to the store to "hear" from the workers. They sat down in the lunch room, ate donuts and pizza, and no employee dared go near them, they were known as oafs just there mostly to check the store's employee records to see if there was anyone that got hired that was not paying "union dues."
They got a chunk of our checks and for that, we got to see them eat donuts and pizza, did not want to be "bothered" with anything else.
Once these outfits become so big, they seem to stop caring. Story of most everything today, all about power and money. Not much about quality of life or improving the lot of everday people.
