Do you really think that any of these well-paid congress-critters will raise a finger to root out the waste, fraud, and abuse currently rife within our Medicare system? This will come out of your Doctor's earnings and he(she) will be forced to make a choice. An unfortunate choice. You've stated that you are older, and with the wisdom you have gained in your long life, you have surely come to realize that if it sounds too good to be true then it surely is. Our country's value lies in the innovation of our entrepreneurs and the traditional work ethic, and goodness, of our nation's people. If socialism is so great, then why is the United States still the most innovative, entrepreneurial, benevolent nation in the history of the world? Then why is that on certain fields of human morality, be it healthcare and same-sex regulations, the United States is literally stuck in the Victorian Ages?

Maybe some legislatures need to evolve before accepting that fact, or maybe some US citizens need to do that as well...

I agree with you about Victorian Ages, especially sexual issues. There are some republicans who want to go back to the 1950's too.
