Your "real scientists" have been discarding data that doesn't suit their premise for over 10 years. When the data doesn't match the hypothesis, normal people re-evaluate the hypothesis (at least that's what the scientific method USED TO say). This isn't open to debate. East Anglia and the IPCC have admitted it in their own words.(1) They lied.
And politics and religion? Any scientist who disputes AGW has been ridiculed, dismissed, fired, or otherwise pressured by political forces.(2) Greed? Al Gore and his minions have made MILLIONS of dollars off this hoax.(2) Of course, he needs to so that he can power all those expensive lights and fly that private jet of his all round the world. Yes, lights and jets, the very things "causing" AGW.
Fact of the matter is, the earth has been MUCH warmer and MUCH cooler in the past, without humans pumping CO2 into the atmosphere. "Real scientists" look no further than the Medieval Warming Period for a prime example.

The fact is that the earth has never seen a warming trend come on so quickly as this one. The fact is there has been a corresponding increase in man made carbon dioxide in the same exact time period.
More facts.... Fact no. 1 - Greenhouse gasses cause planets to get warmer, sometimes out of control warmer... just look at Venus. Fact no. 2 - Human activity has produced a whole lot of one particular kind of known greenhouse gas here on Earth in the last 150 or so years. Fact no. 3 - The planet Earth has been getting warmer for the last 150 years in direct proportion to the amount of increase in greenhouse gas increase.
Also the theory that because the Earth has seen many fluctuations in average temperature in the past that were caused by natural occurrences, therefore humans can't be the cause of temperature fluctuations, is faulty. It fails to take into consideration new data... that being human activity. That would be analogous to saying that it is impossible for humans to start forest fires because for the past million years forest fires have been started by natural occurrences such as lightning.
One more point. The scientific method is not a recipe. It is easy to attack because it does not operate on the same type of absolute certainty some people are accustom to via religion or demagoguery. The scientific method itself is easy to attack because of its peer review elements which are open to scrutiny and criticism and because it is an ongoing process which constantly develops more accurate and comprehensive information and data as time goes on.
More and more I find myself putting my faith in science. Politics and religion have done very little for the betterment and advancement of humankind⦠science has.
