Union Calls for Emergency Meeting
#14
The problem is the administrative layers are so dense that it costs the district millions upon millions. The administrators are doing just fine financially under their contrct, however they want the teachers to take a pay cut. It is a known fact that it is already tough to get teachers to stay in Waukegan (pay and bad leadership being the reasons), but know to treat the teachers like shi*. The school board needs to realize these administers telling teachers to take a pay cut makes them (the board) look bad. High school principal 160,000 plus lives in Mchenry, Athletice Direcetor 100,000 plus lives in Grayslake, Superintendent 220,000 plus lives in gurnee- and your going to have them tell the teachers who are making about 38,000 to take a pay cut. For your reading pleassure look up what the Lincoln Center "adminsitrativ cabinet" gets paid. The point of my whole rambling mess is: Why would the school board allow these people to make decisisons about our community school system and they wont even be around in two years. Im sure the above admistrators thank the Waukegan taxpayers for their huge pay checks they take back across route 41 everyday. So go ahead screw the teachers who are in the fight everyday trying to make a difference.
