A misguided man, most tragic. Certainly no hero. Certainly all of the extreme right-wing hate mongers did not help his mental state, either,
like we find in the TeaParty Movement.
All the "truthers" and the "birthers" and the conspiracy whacked out thinkers who preach about a "New World Order", the "Bilderberg Group" etc etc
blah blah blah don't help either.
Very few times in USA history have we seen so many hard-core, lunatic haters out there!
