One of the suspects was armed with a gun, the other with a knife and they demanded cash from the register, said Kenosha Police Sgt. Hugh Rafferty. The two assailants then shot an 18-year-old clerk identified as Robert W. Wilde of Kenosha and his 43-year-old manager before taking an undisclosed amount of cash and fleeing the restaurant on foot in a southeasterly direction.
Four other employees inside the restaurant, females between the ages of 17 and 20, were not injured, Rafferty said.
The two victims were both taken to Kenosha Hospital and Medical Center by the Kenosha Fire Department rescue personnel. Wilde was pronounced dead a short time later, while the 43-year-old man was treated and later released. His name has not been released.
