Police Layoffs

Just a quick update for those of you that are concerned about losing valuable members of your cities police and fire departments. Tomorrow, July 06 (Monday) at 6pm the city council is set to meet for their July meeting and to debate the most important topic of city layoffs. As part of that meeting, just prior to at 5pm Lake County Sheriff Mark Curran will be speaking publicly in support of the WPD with members of the WPD present. Also in attendence will be the firemen and their union representatives along with surrounding area fire dept members. From what I understand members of Waukegan Business Association and many community supporters will also be in attendence. If you have the time and are one of the regular visitors to this site, then you know how important these services are to our city and I urge you to come out and support these men and women.
