When you have a segment of society that glamorizes prison you get kids who think it's acceptable or maybe even desirable to get sent there. There's a whole different set of rules for some. Yancey's comment at the end of the artice doesn't take that into consideration. I think the message he is sending to these kids is being interpreted as: "I'll help you achieve your goal".
