I was thinking and hoping that we could open this up to some real discourse here.
If there are so many foreclosures in Waukegan, why don't the School Board offer a $1000, one time only bonus to teachers who teach AND LIVE in Waukegan. It's simple. You are rewarded for teaching in the community you live. This would be a nice incentive to get respectable hardworking people in the empty houses in Waukegan. It would be a nice attractable incentive toward recruiting new teachers from around the state, and it would help decrease some of the stressed out areas of Waukegan.
Wouldn't it be nice if Principals, be required to live in the district that their school is a part of. ?
CPS does this? Waukegan could at least offer an incentive.? What do you think, help share the cons and pros of this scenario? Whta bad implications would it have? What positiv ones?
