Thanks Fedup - Margaret Carrasco sent an email to Batiste and Gaudin telling them, that among other things, she wanted to make them aware that Brian Luosa, in addition to me, has also made allegations of Felony Theft against Batiste and Gaudin. Gaudin apparently forwarded it to board attorney Morris. Batiste and Hanna (and Gaudin) are apparently tight with Carrasco and she's tight with Sabonjin. That would seem to make it more difficult (not impossible) to push for change at the school.
I'll assume that Carrasco was more concerned about protecting Batiste and Gaudin (and now from your post Hanna) than the district because she certainly has not called for an investigation or contacted me to learn more. She didn't elaborate about Brian Luosa's allegations. Two weeks ago Brian Luosa told me that Batiste and Morris have never did any type of an investigation, even though they and the board have put in writing that they did. He went even further and stated that he and Gaudin know that they owed her the money and have discussed it several times. When I reminded him of all the violations of the law that he had just again admitted to he restated that he and Gaudin both knew they owed her the money. He was going to go speak to the Waukegan Police Department with us and as I reported, didn't show.
Carrasco's involvement with Sabonjin and Batiste and Gaudin and happiness that Sabonjin won is cause for me to be concerned for the future of the school district. I'll feel better if she does not become a member of his administration. Everyone has high hopes for Sabonjin as Mayor of Waukegan and I hope he rises to the occasion. His quick response to some of the concerns seems hopeful.
