I should clarify. He said that 'if they are not hurting anyone we should leave them alone' but that if they do a crime they should be arrested.
I'm sure it will be as it is with President Obama. There are so many more pressing issues in the country and in our own Waukegan that they must be taken care of first. And he has this council till 2011.
Yesterday NYT's reporter Julia Preston (she did an article about Waukegan two years ago) wrote an article about Obama wanting to start with immigration reform talks in May. Celia Munoz made the announcement. There has been quite a stir about this announcement and already the press secretary made a bit of a retraction on that. I'll post the article and an analysis of this by NumbersUSA later -Celia Munoz was basically thrown under the bus to see what such an announcement would bring about.
