We can educate them now, and give them the best possible chance at a prosperous future, or we can doom them to a life of subsistence wages and missed opportunities. In addition, since ours is an economically disadvantaged district, most of the revenue comes from state and federal tax dollars. Unless you leave the country, you'll be paying for these schools. So very true Kelly. Too bad many don't see it that way. We were planning on moving out this year, but my daughter LOVES WHS and really wants to graduate from there, so it looks like we're sticking it out. You wouldn't believe how many people make comments to me about that. WHS is a good school, with good people, it just needs to be run better.
