The WHS team should be exceptionally proud of their achievement, and should be applauded. Nevertheless, I stand by my words. Mayor Hyde has no place jumping on the bandwagon of their celebrations when he disingenuously dismisses the schools as nothing to do with him for the other 364 days of the year. Your suggestion to reschedule the debate is impractical given the immediacy of the election. Besides, you said it yourself - the schools have gone downhill fast. The only hope that Waukegan Schools have right now is a change of administration on April 7th.
