George Carlin On Global Warming
#1
George Carlin, a brilliant comedian/social commentator who was a master at stating what the rest of us don't usually see-- the obvious.

George Carlin was a very wise man and a true rebel. He went against the tide of 1950's conformity early in his life. He knew there was some value in moderate drug use and he helped expose organized religion for the scam that it is.

I guess his opinion on global warming didn't fit your current point of view, as your remarks commented on his opinion of religion. I have not seen that presentation. Please post the link to that video. I have enjoyed and respected his comedic commentary for many years.

I too respect George Carlin. He made an entire career out of his refusal to be a mindless robot and of exercizing his ability to think outside of his indoctrinations.

Thank you Danno, I forgot that I had seen that one before, but still, a hoot. I am not in the habit of attending church, but I think they provide a solid contribution to society. The church is no different than politics; it is run by people and it is up to the parishioners, or voters if it applies to politics, to pay attention to the process and speak up. Americans have become complacent, and with the advent of easy credit over the last many years, some Americans have over-extended themselves and now expect their debt to be assumed by the federal govt. and spread out amongst the rest of us. This is what is referred to as moral hazard. Religious organizations are prone to some of the same frailties.
