Come on, Dennis, You are never going back to the failed Socialist nightmare that is Europe. All I am asking you to do is attend some patriot party meetings to get a sense of the principles in which our benevolent nation was founded. You may have been fed the wrong impression of the American people. I am, on my father's side, English, Scots, Danish, and German; on my mother's side, Italian and Irish. I grew up, next door to Waukegan, in North Chicago. Our community was an equal split of white and black. Life was different back then, before politicians began to create the great American entitlement class. Now, that entitlement mentality reaches up into our corporate boardrooms. As long as you are here, why don't you take the opportunity to attend some of the local political meetings? It won't hurt you.

In my opinion capitalism has run it's course. There is a very dark side to capitalism that we have ignored for a long long time. You can try to go backward to the 1950's but that would be a temporary solution. It will only get worse as technology allows the use of robotics to replace human workers. Check out the Zeitgeist movement...

It becomes so laborious and tiresome, the constant "labeling." Democratic, Republican, Socialist, Conservative, Green, Yellow, Orange, Purple, Blue States, Red States, blah blah blah blah blah blah.
Get "progressive"...move beyond all the labels, let's just roll up our sleeves together as a neighborhood, community, city, county, state, nation and world..
and with the affirmation of life always at the core, get practical and get what does not work to work.
Whether that be a broken health care system, huge unemployment, global warming, crime, discrimination, broken down educational systems, whatever and everthing.
Get down to the basics, know that we can do better, always better, always with humanity and justice, and just get it fixed.
