Four shot at IHOP on Saturday?
#1
I didn't see this in the News Sun today. Anyone know more about it -saw it in two spots. I don't usually take the family to IHOP at 3 a.m. but...

KEEP our cops!

Violence over the weekend

Violence over the weekend spilled into the streets of Waukegan with PO's responding to numerous calls of shots fired were evidence of the shootings were found. The most heinous incident happened at IHOP restaurant at about 3am on Saturday morning. We've been told that 4 people were shot in that incident.

Its really becoming a more and more dangerous city folks, make sure to watch your backs and cover each other. Don't hesitate to call for more cars if you need to, remember that everyone has to go home at the end of the shift and that is job number 1.

I cannot understand why the News Sun is only able to obtain the most minimal amount of information possible for what appears to be a news topic of high importance. I can see having a large article about the bristol fair, however a person was shot in Zion, and 4 people yes 4 people were shot in Waukegan in one incident! This leads me to believe one of two things: the first is that the cities are doing a great job of hiding this news stories in order to keep the public uninformed. Or two: that the News Sun is not a porfessional news reporting agency and that they lack the skill, knowledge and ability to obtain stories of a higher importance to the public. Zion, Waukegan and North Chicago are not the cities that they were years ago, the news reporting agency should not still report as if they are.

One of the suspects was armed with a gun, the other with a knife and they demanded cash from the register, said Kenosha Police Sgt. Hugh Rafferty. The two assailants then shot an 18-year-old clerk identified as Robert W. Wilde of Kenosha and his 43-year-old manager before taking an undisclosed amount of cash and fleeing the restaurant on foot in a southeasterly direction.

Four other employees inside the restaurant, females between the ages of 17 and 20, were not injured, Rafferty said.

The two victims were both taken to Kenosha Hospital and Medical Center by the Kenosha Fire Department rescue personnel. Wilde was pronounced dead a short time later, while the 43-year-old man was treated and later released. His name has not been released.

The suspects are described as Hispanic men between 5-feet-10 inches and 6-feet-tall, police said. One suspect had long hair and was wearing a tan parka, blue shirt, camouflage pants and a black mask. The other suspect wore a brown parka or sweatshirt, green shirt, tan shorts and a black mask.
