Principals wasting more $$
#1
Well, why not waste more money than they have to? Elementary principals at several buildings are making teachers switch classrooms! Many are reassigning teacher assignments making them teach different grades! Whats the big deal? After all they have the power to do so!

But by contract, teachers who move classrooms when not wanting to, get paid! It's not much, $50 or so, but take that money and multiply it by 20-30 teachers per schools for so many schools!

Just useless spending when this money could be spent on books that the schools need so badly!

Are these changes being made against the contract between union and WPS60, or is this the building principal's perogative?

The contract states $50.00 to be paid for an involuntary move or less than 2 weeks notice of a classroom move. Most teachers usually relent and agree to the move as the new catch phrase used on teachers evaluations to cover a teacher that says no to anything is: unsatisfactory---"is not a team player".
