NEWSWEEK MAGAZINE (March 11, 2010 edition) has named Illinois among the
seven most corrupt states in the USA.

The writer says here in Illinois, "It's practically mandatory to indict govenors in the Land of Lincoln" and that in Illinois
"machine politics" are very corrupting.

Here's the entire list of the USA's most corrupt states (according to NEWSWEEK MAGAZINE):

.New York ("Fall of the Empire State")
.Illinois ("Heartland Values")
.Louisiana ("Big Easy Money")
.New Jersey ("The Swamps of Jersey")
.South Carolina ("Palmetto Politics")
.Rhode Island ("The Most 'Per Capita' Corruption")
.Ohio ("Free Traficant")

Here is the NEWSWEEK MAGAZINE link...enjoy!!

Every state in the union is corrupt to one degree or another becuase they operate in a system that is unaviodably and inherently corrupt. Nothing will change until the system changes. You could lock up every corrupt person and new ones will quickly be produced to take their place. It's like having some sugar spilled under the refrigerator. You can kill all of the ants that are feeding on it and new ones will soon take their place. No real progress can be made until you clean up the root cause, the sugar.

You are right on point with that comment, Danno!

I do believe, however, that by their very culture and traditions,
some states have more dirty dealings in them by their politicos than others.
Each unique in how they deal the in and out the dirt.

Take the case of Louisiana. Who do you think of when you hear that state mentioned?
The "KINGFISH" himself, Governor Huey Long !! Look at the precedent he further endgendered
and festered !

Now think of Illinois politicos and Wisconsin politicos. Which state do you think has more
two-faced, backstabbing, arrogant and self-serving prima donna politicos in it??
