Homeless and Hungry

How come I don't see any commercials, ads, etc., showing the many homeless and hungry people we have here in the States who need help? I saw Ms Ling, the Traveling News Lady, on Oprah's Show, showing a lot of people here in that situation. I didn't know it was that bad. I think the "used to be rich "people suffer the most. I was in tears. I think we should take care of home first! I am so blessed to have a roof over my head and food to eat. I don't want to see any more advertisements about the poor abroad. Did anyone else see that Special :?:

I saw it last night on the rerun. I was shocked. It made me upset that our government is more concerned about advancing benefits to same sex marriages than it is about people losing everything they own and being forced to live in tents. We just have our priorities all wrong. Whats it gonna take?

The poor people I see around here are only hungry because they sell their Link card-food stamps for cash so they can buy alcohol.
