New Soup Ideas Contest - Wkgn's Frontier Soups
#1
WAUKEGAN, IL, Frontier Soups, a producer of all natural gourmet soup mixes, is challenging home cooks to invent new ideas for packing even more nutrition into soup meals with its Fresh Ideas contest.

During March, consumers can submit their own ideas for inventive variations of any Frontier Soups soup mix, and those whose variations are selected will receive a free sample of a new product the company will be introducing later in the year, according to Trisha Anderson, Frontier Soups founder. “With spring on the way, we are looking for some fresh ideas to add nutritional punch to soup meals in addition to our own inventive variations that we include with each of our soup mixes,” Anderson said. “Our winners will be the first to try, and give us some feedback on, a new product we are planning to introduce. We’ll also post their suggestions on our blog.”

As an example of one way to add even more nutrition, Anderson suggests substituting pureed corn, mashed potatoes, carrots or cauliflower as thickeners in place of the cream in Frontier Soups Illinois Prairie Corn Chowder. “It’s a great way to add more vegetable servings, and more nutrition, to a meal,” she said.

For a nutritious St. Patrick’s Day meal in traditional green, Frontier Soups Nebraska Barnraising Green Pea Soup is specially priced during March at $4.95, 30 percent off the regular price. For more savings, orders of $50 or more receive free shipping, Anderson said.

All Frontier Soups soup mixes are all natural with no added salt, preservatives or MSG. More information, along with recipes and inventive variations for corn chowder, split pea soup and other favorite Frontier Soups soup mixes, is available at our website.
