No doubt, SanFran is a mess. I think, though, based upon the ineptitude of some
of her elected leaders rather than government itself.

We need government, if we did not have it, an institution of structure based upon
what works in human relationships and what does not (folkways turned into guideposts
turned into precedence turned into law)....we would have anarchy.

I hear no objections to "government" when a citizen needs the rescue squad,
the fire department for a fire, the police to protect the innocent from those who would
visit harm.

I hear no objections to a lot of what "government" provides because what "government"
provides is not luxury but necessity for civilization to remain civil, just and secure.

Granted, "government" is not perfect, no human institution is. That is why
the "government" we have established for these United States of America is
a fluid institution, where still ultimately The People have the Final Say and
not The Elected Ones.

Happens in that wondrous event on Electon Day where we have the opportunity
to SPEAK and BE HEARD. Not bad, not bad at all, as our government is still
"of the People, by the People, and for The People" as President Lincoln said in his
Gettysburg Address.

There are many challenges to this endeavor, to this American Experiment,
but the 'fat lady" still is not anywhere near ready to sing.

Let's KEEP her way.
