Halloween Party/Live Jazz at Joplin's Java 10/31/08 - The Muse - 10-30-2008

Dear Friends,

Tomorrow (Oct.31) is Joplin's Java's first Halloween Party! We have absolutely
top-notch, headline jazz musicians from Chicago playing: Tom Muellner,
Nick Schneider, Arlene Bardelle, Bill Overton, and Phil Gratteau. Jazz
lovers NEED to be here!

Tell your friends - the energy of this caliber of musicians in a such a
small intimate space (only holds about 50 for regular concerts - this
party will be slightly larger - tickets only $10!) is AMAZING! You may
come here tired, but you'll leave inspired! Live music - especially of
this quality - ain't no plastic disk of background noise!

The party will begin at 5 pm, with our dear friend and favorite DJ,
"Doc" Dockery entertaining. (Doc is opening a fine art gallery in our
building next week) The decorations are mostly up, and the munchies,
wine, etc are still being finalized, but don't miss it. Wonderful people
are coming - you'll make new friends too. Check out our happy little
venue. Feel free to ask us for local restaurant recommendations.

Everyone is also invited to visit our website (and sign up for our FREE
email newsletter) for future fabulous Fridays at Family Piano Co /
Joplin's Java.com. There's a map on the website that clearly shows our
free parking lot (ignore the "reserved" signs and all street meters at
night. There's also a church next door with a big lot that's empty on
Friday evenings and ok to use.). If you're coming by train, let us know
- it's only about 3 blocks, but we'll be happy to pick you up and drop
you back later. I believe there's still a train at 10:10 back to
Chicago, and something about then to Kenosha. The "suite 402" is just
for mailing - we are street level and handicap friendly.

Jazz fans NEED to be at this show. Waukegan is not nearly as far as you
may think. See you tomorrow!
