Wkgn. School Truck plowing private business - Atlasmedia - 12-09-2009
The wife and I were driving south on Green Bay Rd. from Sunset Avenue.
We saw a small auto repair place with a checkerboard top near the roof called Bob's Garage and are wondering why taxpayers' money is being used to have a Waukegan School District truck plowing the complete parking lot of this establishment. We wish we had a camera to pick this up on film to post here, but we did not. This was shortly after 10am this morning of 09 December, 2009
Does anyone know what is going on here? Why would the school system be plowing a private business' lot when they can barely plow the schools properly? We are angry about this and sure you will be too if you live in this town and get hit hard with school district taxes each year.

sadly that kind of crap is anything but shocking here. Go to Sheridan Rd and watch the City plow out Terry Link's driveway next time it snows.

Maybe the truck was repaying a favor for mechanical service.

I think you call that the barter system and that is illegal under the current federal tax code.
